Are you passionate about the automotive industry and have a knack for numbers? We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Costing Clerk. As a vital member of our Service department, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost calculations and to keep our financial gears running smoothly.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Grade 12; additional education or training in financial field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry preferred.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of automotive dealership operations and terminology is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis of costs associated with vehicle services & repairs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Costing and claiming of job cards as per manufacturers systems requirements and standards
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Remain current with all manufacturer campaigns (recalls) and bulletins
- Prepare and process billing statements for the aftersales department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and dealership policies.
