Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Associate Head of Department on all day-to-day operational matters, you will inform the Dean of all operational corporate and academic matters and all academic governance matters particularly when any risks are identified. You will assist the Associate Dean/Dean in the compilation of reports that are presented to the Academic Board and any sub committees of the Academic Board.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing academic and operational leadership to the Diploma of Community Service staff who deliver the course
  • Operations: timetabling of classes, planning resources, enrolments and RPLs, recruitment and supervision of academic and support staff.
  • Assist in the establishment and management of external moderation arrangements and benchmarking of performance against academic objectives.
  • Lead the Scholarly activities and professional development of DCS staff
  • Assist the Associate Dean/VET Manager in the conduct of an annual internal audit of DCS.
  • Contribute to the development, review and renewal of academic policies and procedures.
  • Experience in the development of curriculum for community services’
