JOB SUMMARY:
Mekari Financial Services is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of financial statements, and a passion for evaluating the financial health of businesses. This role is crucial in supporting our company’s mission of providing top-tier lending services to our business clients by ensuring we make well-informed lending decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-3 years proven of experience as a credit analyst, preferably in SMEs would be an added advantage.
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and understanding financial ratios.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Analysis: Review and analyze business financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients by determining their financial stability, liquidity, profitability, and payment history.
- Loan Recommendation: Prepare detailed credit memo to our committee that include recommendations for loan approvals, modifications, or rejections based on a thorough analysis.
- Ongoing Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage existing loan portfolios to identify any potential risks or changes in clients’ financial positions.
- Market Trend Analysis: Stay updated with market trends and economic indicators that could affect the credit risk associated with current and potential clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and loan processing teams to expedite loan processes and ensure that credit policies are adhered to.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry best practices, regulations, and new analytical techniques to enhance the credit evaluation process.
