CREDIT ANALYST
Reports to: Credit Manager
Location: Culloden, WV

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for credit and risk assessment of customer accounts utilizing credit tools that include credit applications and credit reports. Manage collections for a defined portfolio of accounts including deduction resolutions, credit memo process, review and release of customer orders, new customer account set up, and account maintenance. Provide updates to management when a customer’s creditworthiness changes.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong Microsoft office skills to include Excel and related computer applications
- Proven detail attentiveness, organizational and time-management skills
- Strong math skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and phone skills
- Proficient typing and data entry skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Cooperatively works and interacts with members of various departments
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of Credit department
- Proven history of legendary customer service
EDUCATION:
- Associate’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent 2+ years’ experience in credit

Responsibilities:
- Assist in protecting financial assets of the company to maximize cash flow and minimize bad debt
- Manage and monitor existing accounts receivable portfolio(s)
- Access, analyze, and evaluate credit history of potential accounts
- Prioritize credit reviews for existing accounts
- Examines accounts for delinquencies and discrepancies
- Perform commercial collections
- Establish and maintain commercial credit lines for customers
- Setup payment plans and credit extensions
- Engage in routine credit correspondence to include: credit holds, credit memos, vouchers, invoices, credit statements and collection notifications
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
