Description:
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Assistant Credit Manager in the Construction industry, located in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the Credit Manager, ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the company.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions
- Understanding of Collection Processes and Credit Limit
- Proficiency in NetSuite and ERP Solutions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial records and transferable data
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Credit/Collections Supervisor or Manager role.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
- Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is essential.
- Must have experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions.
- Solid understanding of Collection Processes and Credit is necessary.
- Knowledge of Credit Limit procedures is expected.
- Experience with NetSuite is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.
- Must have the ability to analyze data and provide strategies based on findings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications would be advantageous.
- Must adhere to all company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Credit Manager in assessing the creditworthiness of existing or prospective clients
- Monitor and manage the organization’s bank relationships and liquidity management
- Support the review and implementation of credit policies, procedures, and risk tolerance
- Participate in periodic credit reviews to ensure compliance with company policies
- Act as an adviser to the company’s sales staff, providing insights into the credit risk involved with potential customers
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Assist in managing customer deductions and disputes
- Collaborate with the Accounting department to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
- Evaluate organizational performance and results and recommend major changes in procedures or objectives as needed
- Participate in the development and improvement of the credit automation process
