Are you passionate about shaping robust business processes and safeguarding Danske Bank and its customers? We’re seeking an experienced banking professional to help implement and execute a robust 1st Line of Defense (LoD) controls management framework.
We are looking for a driven banking professional to influence and enhance our robust controls framework within the Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM) department. This vital department supports our business units—Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers, and Personal Customers—in achieving their strategic goals.
As part of our independent Controls Management (CM) team, which operates within BCPM and apart from the business units, you will ensure that controls are effectively designed and implemented. Specifically, as a Credit Controller in the Financial Risk Testing team, your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling credit risks, developing and implementing credit control procedures, and enhancing our data-driven controlling processes. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with both regulatory standards and internal risk frameworks.

YOUR PROFILE

Join our team and enhance Danske Bank’s credit risk culture by setting standards, reporting findings, and devising solutions to structural issues. For this role, we are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or similar educational background. Experience as an advisor, credit consultant, or in a controlling/reporting role, whether dealing with Personal or Business Customers, is beneficial. Above all, your willingness to learn and collaborate to make an impact is crucial.

You should possess:

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial risk management, including non-financial, regulatory, or credit risk.
  • An analytical and logical mindset, with a passion for delving into data and drawing meaningful insights.
  • A curious and holistic approach, always eager to understand the broader context.
  • A collaborative spirit, knowing that teamwork produces the best solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively tailor messages to different audiences.

In our fast-paced organization, flexibility and initiative are key. You should be adept at forging relationships with stakeholders and managing projects across different countries, always ready to prioritize as necessary. Our global team spans all Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Lithuania), for this particular position, fluency in both Swedish and Finnish is required.
As part of the newly established Financial Risk Testing team within a dynamic organization, you have the unique opportunity to help shape our current and future role while promoting a safe and trusted work environment and supporting a robust risk culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform controlling of credit cases in Finland and Sweden
  • Perform control testing of the credit process according to the planned annual Book-of-Work
  • Gather findings to relevant reports and dashboards, identifying both specific and structural issues and supporting the work to find solutions to strengthen our credit risk culture
  • Contribute to an efficient and effective credit controlling processes
  • Interact and liaise with both 1. Line and 2. Line stakeholders
