About The Role
We have a leadership opportunity available for an experienced Credit Director to join the ANZ Credit Team as the senior subject matter expert on credit & fraud management. This role can sit in either the Auckland NZ or Melbourne AU offices. Reporting to the VP Risk, you will effectively lead the ANZ Credit Team to achieve all operational and strategic objectives, focusing on delivering transformative data driven change across both credit and fraud with automation at the centre of the strategy.
This role is very hands on and will suit someone who enjoys enhancing existing processes and working in a fast-paced, changing environment. The Credit Director will collaborate closely with the business leads of the Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operational, IT and Business Performance teams to develop and implement Credit & Fraud strategies that promote a “best in class” client experience and maximize revenue opportunities.
About You
This role will suit a credit risk leader who is action focused person with exceptional organisational abilities. Proven management experience is essential, together with attention to detail and accuracy, great communication and relationship-building skills. We are looking for someone who will passionately lead and manage the credit team while creating improvements in client service and processes. Preferably someone who has worked in a leadership role prioritising tasks and delegating as needed. Must have significant experience defining and executing underwriting, portfolio, collection & fraud management strategies for commercial card programs issued by financial institutions in Australia/New Zealand markets.

To be considered for this role, you must also have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of industry leading credit scoring & verification tools.
  • Strong people management, development and mentoring skills.
  • Advanced access and excel skills.
  • Understanding of issues relating to card fraud.
  • Experience in a company with a high volume of transactions.
