Description:

Our client is a large global bank, they seek an experienced Credit Manager and/or a Senior Credit Analyst to join the Corporate Banking team. You will have the responsibility of assessing the creditworthiness of credit applications from the senior bankers and making risk mitigating recommendations to facilitate bank and customer solutions. This opportunity will allow you to lead the development of technical, credit, and risk management capabilities of the entire bank staff through coaching and training.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualification in finance/business
  • Proven record of delivering business targets, meeting customer needs, and improving customer satisfaction
  • Analytical thinking, excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • 5+ years’ Commercial or 3+ years’ Corporate banking experience at banks in NZ is a must have

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the overall creditworthiness of funding applications and make recommendations for structuring lending facilities
  • Provide active input on the management of the overall lending portfolio including early identification of industry or individual customer deterioration
  • Act as a subject matter expert and assist develop and enhance credit risk boundaries, policies, and practices
  • Build and maintain multiple internal and external relationships to maintain expert level knowledge of current and emerging risk environments
  • Provide guidance and support regarding loan drawdown check, credit files management, loan portfolio analysis, and other post-lending monitoring work
  • Undertake the lead role of training bank staff on credit risk management practices
