Credit Manager

Reporting to the Global Head of Credit, the Credit Manager will lead the local Credit Team to ensure compliance with Xe internal policies and Euronet guidelines. The main three purposes of this role are: •

  • Minimize the risk of financial losses and breaches of internal credit controls. Due to the volatility of the foreign exchange market the duties can vary from day-to-day. •
  • Assess the credit and financial strength of Clients by performing credit analysis of counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative factors and identify the most adequate trading facilities to minimise exposure, credit, settlement, and revenue risks. •
  • Manage debt collection matters, liaising with different internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • In addition, the Credit Manager will maintain effective relationships with internal and external third parties, ensuring best practice and effective controls are in place and remain accessible to all management within the group.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Analyse credit and liquidity risks, produce risk reports and identify and enforce controls to mitigate operational and Credit risk across the Group.
  • Review credit assessment processes and ensure appropriate credit lines are being offered to clients at the outset, addressing product suitability if required.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand their strategy, financial performance, and business requirements.
  • Analyse, Review and approve credit requests.
  • Ensure credit procedures are being followed by all stakeholders of the function.
  • Operational and Credit systems - monitoring changes to the in-house systems to ensure that there is no negative impact on existing functions. Reviewing processes and systems to improve efficiency.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end collections cycle: monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors, manage write-offs, setting up of repayment plans and liaising on recovery action and legal referral.
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Local Senior Management on credit matters linked to internal and external Audit processes.
  • Take active role in improving credit controls, systems, and procedures.
  • Work closely with Local Management to assist with ad-hoc commercial projects.
  • Day to day management and supervision of Local credit team:
  • Daily monitoring of client positions, activities; issuing margin call notes and limit breaches to clients, while answering and investigating any inquiries or disputes.
  • Carrying out credit reviews for corporate clients and setting security payment terms.
  • Monitoring open positions - liaising with clients on settlements and close outs.
  • Collateral monitoring and oversight of the key credit systems.
  • Identifying any credit policy breaches and escalating where appropriate.
  • Performing trades when requested when clients are in default (close-outs, rollovers)
  • Managing debtors - authorizing write-offs where collection is unlikely, or the debt is uneconomic to pursue.
  • Referring other cases to legal and liaising on recovery action.
