JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Officer for an industry leader in North Brisbane.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, analysing financial data, and making informed decisions regarding credit approvals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ Years experience in credit
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate completion of credit applications
  • Assess credit worthiness of new customers and make recommendations to Credit Team Leader
  • Review credit exposure monthly and ensure in line with Insurance policy
  • Maintain relationships with customers in collection portfolio and sales team that service the portfolio
  • Work closely with the claims team to ensure any issues are resolved promptly and rejected claims are managed within agreed timeframes
  • Review and release orders to ensure uninterrupted supply where appropriate
  • Compliance with Credit Policy and adherence to all processes and procedures required to successfully manage a portfolio of debtor’s accounts
  • Undertake any additional duties that may be required to be performed in a Credit and Collection environment
