Description:

Department: Credit Services
Accountable to: Acting Deputy Head of Credit Services
Direct Reports: None
Main Purpose of Job:
To support the Credit Services department with Temenos Transact credit-related activities. Supporting the Acting Deputy Head of Credit Services in setting up all the upgrade modules for the purposes of monitoring risk exposures, following process, and compliance with policies.

  • Record Keeping (For the below T24 Key Responsibilities)

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

➢ Temenos T24 Skills set for R21 and R22

  • Check for notifications and advises daily on all delivery systems for any communication

and instructions and authorisations from customers, clients and agents.

  • Prepare, investigate, and balance in a timely fashion the Customer Exposure Reports,

Overdrawn Accounts report, identify any anomalies and advise the HCO who will seek

remedial action from the respective departments.

  • Day-to-day activities under Loan Book Administration – ensuring correct procedures and sign offs are met before disbursement of facility.
  • Monitor Risk Participation and Loan Record Reports.
  • Credit reviews and facility documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Credit policy, Operations Manuals and other related policies as

directed by the HCO.

  • Review Correspondent Banking facilities.
  • Monitoring of Financial Institutions and Corporate Customers.
  • Check and monitor all facilities and conditions subsequent and follow all email and other communication trails.
  • Investigate and escalate to the HCO of any anomalies or any issues.
  • Daily check and attend to all reconciliations.
  • Seek verification from the HCO before any entries or transactions passed are forwarded

on to Acting Deputy head who will forward to GM Banking Services for authorisation.

  • Review Limits on Exposure reports, and ensure all limits are accurate and updated.
  • Management Information reports.
  • Any ad hoc projects including T24 Upgrade projects to test and report

Skills & Capabilities

  • Applying time management skills daily to ensure timely production of reports and notices. Using initiative when processing transactions.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player.

Experience

  • Financial Services/Banking experience ideally within Credit Operations/Transactions or

related function

  • Strong understanding of Loans, Loans administration, procedures, and process
  • Record keeping and data management
  • Understanding of Correspondent Banking

IT Skills

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in use of Business Objects program for report running.
  • Temenos T24 and data store / swift applications – preferable but not compulsory.
