Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in approval of SME loans credit applications and conduct independent credit assessment. Good sense in industry risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Finance or Statistics.
  • Familiar with MAS regulations such as MAS Notice 635, 656, 612, MAS Guideline on Risk Management Practices
  • Analytical mindset, good communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous and self-driven to produce end results.
  • Good knowledge on credit risk / collections scorecard.
  • Knowledge of portfolio monitoring techniques & tools e.g. MS PPT, PySpark/SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of PowerCurve Strategy Management (or equivalent decision engine) is plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit assessments on SME loan applications based on bank statements and/or financial statement; Design and implement the credit approval processes and systems
  • Set up and oversee procedures for daily credit operations, work with operation teams to manage day-to-day matters arising from SME loan onboarding and portfolio monitoring
  • Formulate credit risk management framework to ensure the SME & Retail loan portfolio stay within the banks’ risk appetite and comply with regulation.
  • Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures; Manage timelines of Product Program and Credit policy renewal.
  • Work with stakeholders for development of product programs and test programs to support new business and product launches and ensure compliance with applicable credit policies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain loan origination and portfolio management policies for SME and retail lending products including underwriting rules, limit assignment and risk-based pricing etc.
  • Perform periodic monitoring of risk profiles, concentrations, and economic / industry / regulatory development.
  • Conduct portfolio performance analysis and make recommendations on credit risk actions when necessary to ensure that sound portfolio quality.
  • Participate in credit portfolio stress testing on regular basis to fulfil both internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible to work with business and collection teams to implement industry wide or internal relief programs when required.
  • Work closely with business team, development, and other functions on new initiatives as necessary.
  • Be a back-up for the large corporate and Treasury credit analyst
