Description:

TDI land restoration is looking for a Lead Hand to oversee our projects in Ontario.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has experience with landscaping construction and maintenance and /or athletic field construction and maintenance.
  • Hands-on leader.
  • Clean driving record and vehicle.
  • Must legally be able to work in Canada.
  • Daily travel to and from job sites.
  • Machine experience is a benefit

Responsibilities:

  • Being on the job site daily.
  • Project quality control on installation and service projects, supervise and direct all aspects of TDI Land Restoration operation in compliance with contract plans and TDI land restoration specifications.
  • Communicate with client and customer re-project completion, design specifications, and changes in layout and plan drawings.
  • Supervise and direct materials orders and receipts, prepare and submit weekly operations reports.
  • Meet with client and Operations Manager throughout each project and after-sale service to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Organize all safety components as directed by the MOL. Document all activities. Ensure any problems are rectified. Supervise trailer, staging, crew trucks, and storage areas for health and safety requirements.
  • Complete and submit daily record keeping, i.e. journals, material sheets, time and attendance
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Implementation of the laser system, establishing rough grades, monitoring and controlling adherence to established grades.
  • Complete and submit weekly expense reports.
  • Report directly to management on all aspects of project timing and update projected completion indications before project wrap-up.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely project completion targets are met on a routine basis.
  • Ensure all staff is respectful and courteous to trades and subs, while also ensuring TDI Land Restoration is projecting a first-rate professional image.
  • Complete TDI Land Restoration crew equipment maintenance on-site and submit regular equipment maintenance reports.
    Ideal Candidates will be hands-on leaders with knowledge of landscaping construction; athletic fields, trails, parks, and golf courses
