Jeppesen Canada, a Boeing Company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Crew Solution Consultant to join our Solution Consulting team in Montreal, Quebec.
The Solution Consulting team within the Digital Aviation Services (DAS) organization is looking for new colleagues to solve customer problems with DAS software solutions in the Crew and Network Operations domains. This position is responsible for supporting our sales teams by providing strong value propositions to address our customer’s challenges and providing world-class support to our DAS stakeholders. Key to this position is understanding aviation customer needs, pain points, and business processes and translating these into business solutions. We do expect candidates that are highly motivated with the desire to excel and become experts in DAS products and the value they bring to our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience working with commercial airline operations within the crew planning & management domain.
  • Ability to map customers business processes to product capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and end users.
  • Ability to identify, understand and analyze complex system problems.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Spanish and/or Portuguese speaker is valuable.
  • Deep knowledge of crew resource planning, pilot training planning, and/or crew scheduling is highly advantageous.
  • Product knowledge of DAS solutions such as Jeppesen Manpower Planning and/or Jeppesen Crew Tracking.
  • Experience in a technical presales (sales engineering) role.
  • A degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering, Administration, Science & Technology or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) in proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Creative problem-solving capability, strong analytical and listening skills.
  • Business process analysis.
  • A genuine interest in meeting and helping our customers.
  • Ability to interact with different cultures and at different levels within an organization with ease.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.).

  • Capacité à identifier, comprendre et analyser des problèmes complexes liés aux systèmes.
  • Doit être légalement autorisé(e) à travailler au Canada.
  • L’individu ne doit pas représenter un risque pour la sécurité des biens contrôlés.

QUALIFICATIONS PRÉFÉRENTIELLES (COMPÉTENCES/EXPÉRIENCE SOUHAITÉES) :

  • La maîtrise de l’espagnol et/ou du portugais est particulièrement appréciée.
  • Une connaissance approfondie de la planification des ressources humaines, de la planification de la formation des pilotes et/ou de la planification des équipages est privilégiée.
  • Une connaissance des solutions DAS, tels que la planification Manpower de Jeppesen et/ou le suivi des équipages Jeppesen (Crew Tracking).
  • Une expérience de travail en prévente technique (génie de la vente).
  • Un diplôme en informatique/technologies de l’information, ingénierie, administration, sciences et technologies ou équivalent.
  • D’excellentes capacités en matière de communication (écrite et orale) pour la préparation et la présentation de propositions.
  • Des capacités de résolution de problèmes créatives et de fortes compétences d’analyse et d’écoute.
  • Analyse des processus opérationnels.
  • Une réelle envie de rencontrer et d’aider nos clients.
  • La capacité d’interagir facilement avec des personnes de cultures différentes et à différents niveaux hiérarchiques au sein d’une organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers technical support to sales engagements by focusing on product value propositions for our Crew and Network Operations solutions.
  • Analyzes customer business processes, identifies customer pain points and proposes recommended improvements through our product offerings.
  • Presents and demonstrates technical system abilities and benefits of DAS products.
  • Identifies tangible & nontangible benefits and complies this information into key performance indicators that drives a strong business case for our customers.
  • Leads, plans and execute consulting studies, proof of concepts and/or benchmarks in a team environment.
  • Assists in the identification of future sales opportunities (leads).
  • Identifies and communicates product enhancement opportunities to product owners.
  • Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on projects and at industry conferences.
  • Global travel to airline customers (~25%) primarily in North & South America.
