SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree from a recognized university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a cargo operation or blending role
  • Display evidence of contributing to bottom line and ability to network and influence external parties,
  • Display evidence of ability to problem solve in uncertain circumstance
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where changes are norm
  • Able to work after hours, outside of work schedule to resolve operational issues
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and have a strong sense of commitment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cargo movements on bulk crude tankers from load to delivery point with operational excellence
  • Ensure that all obligations arising from contracts are executed seamlessly and in compliance with regulations and guidelines
  • Manage delivery schedule with external and internal parties, taking into account end-to-end constraints, identifying efficiency opportunities, managing conflicting priorities and to avoid a tank top/stock out situation.
  • Look out for opportunities to maximize margins, value add to Traders P&L and drive voyage optimization.
  • Interface with counterparties, terminal operators, vessel owners/brokers, surveyors, and port agents
  • Interface internally with Cargo/Freight Traders, Manufacturing site, Legal, Claims, Credit and Settlements team
  • Resolve potential barriers to successful operations, with the ability to influence external parties or internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate loading and discharge orders, surveyor appointment and documentation instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date data in the systems including volume settlement volume, bill of lading date and support post deal settlement activities.
  • Attention to detail, ability to assimilate information, problem-solve and good numeracy skills are a pre-requisite
