Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Inspector to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate construction team based in Heide, Germany. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing Northvolt Drei and contribute to building one of the largest European battery factories.
About the job - A Quality Inspector at Northvolt is responsible for ensuring that all Civil, Structural, and Architectural activities are carried out in compliance with applicable quality standards and regulations. They will work closely with the engineering team to establish quality control processes and procedures and oversee the implementation of these processes throughout this mega construction project.
About the team - You will be part of the Northvolt project team of about 40 employees that will have the overall responsibility of this mega project based in Heide Germany.
About the work environment - The office is Heide, Schleswig-Holstein where the giga-factory will be built. Please don’t apply if you are not willing to move to site.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish quality plan and procedure
  • Conduct inspections and audits of civil, structural, and architectural activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify quality control requirements and ensure that these requirements are incorporated into the construction project.
  • Work with the construction team to establish quality control processes and procedures for all civil, structural, and architectural activities, including materials procurement, construction activities, and inspections.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment meet the required quality standards and that all required inspections are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work with the construction team to develop corrective action plans for any quality control issues that are identified during the construction project.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the quality control processes and procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to the construction team on quality control processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all quality control inspections, audits, and corrective actions, ensuring that all quality control documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.
    In addition to these requirements, a Quality Inspector must have strong attention to detail, be able to work under pressure, and have a strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. They should possess excellent organizational and time-management skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They should be able to work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure project success.

We believe that you have :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction quality control in Germany, with a focus on Civil, Structural, and Architectural activities.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards and regulations applicable to the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in German.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with construction industry practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Certification in quality control inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector) is preferred.
