CT Radiographer

To arrive punctually for work and in adherence with current uniform policy. To adhere to all local rules and departmental policies. To ascertain patient identity in line with patient ID policy prior to exposure. To accurately produce images of a high diagnostic quality and ensure the Images are presented for reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
To be flexible, across all sites, with regard to the rota system and to work the hours required by the department. Participation in the provision of a 24 hour service at Medway Maritime Hospital. To have knowledge of and implement all departmental and Patient Charter Standards. To provide for GPs, Outpatients, Inpatients and the A&E department for CT scanning.
To participate in alerting reporting radiologists to urgent findings. Participate in the trust development review process (appraisal). Maintain a high standard of radiographic technique. Take an active role in the departments clinical governance and quality assurance programme.
Ensure that health and safety and radiation protection legislation is complied with. Identify personal training and career development needs. To assist under-graduate students and junior members of staff with their programmes of learning. To report all departmental equipment failures in a timely and appropriate way.
To maintain their HCPC registration and commitments to the HCPC CPD programme
