As we embrace a rich future of digital empowerment, we are looking for a strategy and technical leader to help the industry team to lead this transformation for our automotive, mobility, transportation, and logistics Industry customers.
As Automotive & Mobility CTO, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Microsoft’s top automotive, mobility, transport, and logistics customers, driving thought leadership that will shape industry, competition and solution strategies, strong industry partnerships, as well as long-term, sustainable growth for both Microsoft and our accounts. You will connect strongly and consistently with multiple engineering teams at Microsoft to translate market opportunity into platform capabilities, investments, to partner regarding engaging in light-house wins, to ensure compatibility and compliance regarding industry-specific decisions on the platform. You will be pivotal in connecting the industry advisors covering customer accounts with the product development teams for all industry-specific requirements and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Established Industry experience, expertise, and credentials with customer line-of-business needs and deep industry solution technical expertise with solid experience or serving the automotive, mobility, transportation and logistics industries
  • Deep understanding of vehicle architecture and technologies, including embedded technologies, specific security and safety regulations and technologies
  • In-depth understanding of the partner ecosystems (including Tier 1s, ISVs, SIs) related to Industry solutions and the ability to identify leading solution vendors or systems integrators with relevant repeatable solutions or domain practices.
  • Understand, and have experience with the application of cloud-based technologies in the automotive, mobility, transport, and logistics industry environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, similar information technology-related, or engineering discipline degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Prior work experience in Business Strategy Consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Accenture, EY or equivalent firm) OR at a competing cloud / technology company (SAP, Oracle, SalesForce.com, Amazon, Google or equivalent) preferred.
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration Degree

Responsibilities:

  • Build long-term trusted technology relationships with C-Level decision makers which result in solid and meaningful strategic technology conversations.
  • Collaborate with key Automotive & Mobility Industry stakeholders including engineering, partner teams, marketing and services to develop a long-term strategy to grow Microsoft’s share across the Industry with a focus on the adoption and consumption of Microsoft Industry solutions and land lighthouse deals
  • Have deep understanding of competitive differentiation and Automotive & Mobility specific certification and compliance regulations.
  • Initiate engagement in industry-wide initiatives to grow the partner ecosystem in partnership with GPS to fill out the solution landscape across the industry.
  • Understand and drive the technical architecture aspects of the Microsoft scale solutions.
