Our client is one of the world’s leading Asset Managers and is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join their UK team as the Chief Technology Officer for their eFX team. As the CTO you will be responsible for leading their technology initiatives in the electronic foreign exchange (eFX) space. You will work closely with the trading and operations teams to develop and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that drive the business forward.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the technology team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and initiatives related to eFX.
• Develop and execute the technology strategy for eFX, aligning it with the overall business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology needs and requirements.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in eFX technology, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Build and nurture a high-performing technology team, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to team members.
• Act as a hands-on player coach, actively contributing to the development and implementation of technology solutions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the technology team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a developer within capital markets, with a strong understanding of financial markets and trading systems.
• Ideally, a background in FX and/or electronic trading, with a deep understanding of the eFX landscape.
• Experience in building and leading technology teams, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Hands-on approach, willing to roll up your sleeves and actively contribute to technology development.
• Proficiency in C++ programming language is essential.
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
