JOB SUMMARY

IRC is currently looking for one Cultural Mediator (French speaker) to support the Case Worker in the facilitation of the parenting sessions in Sicily, by providing cultural mediation in Arabic language.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in spoken and written French and Italian.
• Previous experience in cultural mediation/interpretation.
• Predisposed to teamwork.
• Excellent communication and relational skills.
• Based in Sicily.

The main responsibilities of the Cultural Mediator will include:

• Provide French cultural mediation during parenting sessions in Sicily.
• Facilitate the interaction between participants and the Case Worker.
• Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion and cohesion in IRC Italy.
• Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies
