On-site: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.
YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s degree/Technologist diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with others, motivate and support production team member needs.
- Technical competencies aligned with leading fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead supplier or engineering related concerns to resolution.
- Commitment to customer focus.
- This role is primarily day shift. Occasional off shift coverage may be required.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are looking for a curious and innovative Electrical Quality Engineer. In this role, you will use your technical competencies to develop quick containment and robust long-term solutions to different problems as they arise. You will work side by side with our program team, production teams, and fellow engineers to create a work environment free of personal injury. You will collaborate on creative improvements to manufacturing processes and present the Assembly Plant and Engineering Staff with clear problem definition and technical guidance on electrical problems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Promote a workplace safety culture that prioritizes every employee ‘ s safe return home.
- Compile and analyze current Warranty data
- Create and Manage Voice of the Customer Wall
- Analyze Plant controllable field actions.
- Provide input on quality standards and procedures to improve Warranty.
- Facilitate Pre-CPIT meetings.
- Run and monitor Problem Solving Tracking System (PRTS) meetings to facilitate timely problem solving
- Generate unique technical solutions utilizing Seven Diamonds Process, Red X, Voice of the Customer, and
- Support the launch of our new electric battery assembly plant by working collaboratively with our pilot team, Issue Resolution Team, production leads and GM engineering.
- Collaborate and support peers across functions to achieve enterprise objectives through General Motors’ Global Manufacturing System (GMS) and Built in Quality (BIQ) principles.
