About the role
The Customer Relations Manager is the customers’ one point of contact on proposal and order execution, thereby governing all open and ongoing activities within area of responsibility in the FLSmidth Cement organisation. The position is maintaining and supporting effective operational communications and client relationships as needed to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Finally, the Customer Relations Manager is collaborating cross functionally with internal stakeholders in a global supply chain, assuring that responding to inquiries and placement of orders are done in a timely manner, meeting both our ‘Turnaround time’ goals and contractual obligations.
The role is a 1-year maternity cover with a possibility of extension.
About the department
You will be joining a team of 9 dedicated colleagues with a desire to provide the best Customer service as well as supporting each other and cross functionally. The position is based in our headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen.

Your responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining good relations with customers and colleagues
  • Responsible for the entire proposal handling and order execution process with a focus on forecasted order intake and contribution margins
  • Aligning and coordinating directly with customers and Sales managers
  • Responsible for providing quick and accurate responses to customer inquiries assuring that contract terms, specifications and pricing conform to current guidelines and customer needs
  • Managing coordination and communication with other relevant departments/stakeholders to ensure that parts are delivered as promised
  • Supporting the Sales managers with sales and pricing history by mastering our BI tools (Business intelligence)
  • Governing both global as well as Customer Service processes and work instructions
  • Ensuring compliance with Export Control regulations when dealing with sanctioned or embargo countries
  • Managing complex engineering cases
  • Managing Monthly Service Letters
  • Handling and resolving customer claims and complaints
  • Following up on overdue payments and collaborating with ARCollections

Your qualifications

  • A commercial mindset and preferably some technical know-how, specifically within the cement industry
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written in English
  • An educational background within export, international sales, global business engineer or comparable
  • Some experience with managing small projects between sales, customer, and suppliers
  • Previous experience within the cross-field of technical sales and customer relations
  • A proactive and structured approach to your tasks, enabling you to handle several cases at a time
  • A positive attitude and the ability to deliver on time
  • A cross-cultural understanding to support your daily dialogue with people of different cultures, nationalities, and professional backgrounds
