The Customer Relations team at the City of Melbourne exist to care for our customers as much as they care for our city. We have a passion for providing excellent customer experiences and producing great customer outcomes.
As a Customer Relations Officer, you will deliver service across all customer contact channels – starting with telephone, and in time progressing to face to face and our digital services (web chat, emails and social media). You will have a vital role in ensuring the values and service standards of City of Melbourne are maintained, with a focus on first time resolution to enquiries.
Relevant customer service experience in a similar organisation and the ability to seek creative solutions to a wide range of issues and concerns is essential. Previous experience in case management, working with difficult customers and competency in attention to detail will further support your application.

What you will bring…

- Relevant experience in a Contact Centre environment and/or customer service experience and demonstrated customer service skills including telephone (call centre environment), Face to Face and Written Communications.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to assess and balance priorities and work under limited supervision.
- High emotional intelligence with proven ability to empathise with customers.
- Excellent computer and keyboard skills and great attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Ability to adhere to a changing roster.
