JOB SUMMARY:

As a Customer Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the coordination, implementation, and administration of designed recycling programs (AB 341, AB 1826, SB 1383), as well as managing organic and recycling contamination issues. Responsibilities also include updating Recyclist and verifying data in Soft-Pak.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience in resource recovery is preferred (e.g., waste disposal, recycling).
  • Strong presentation, networking, time management, and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Demonstrates proactive leadership and initiative in solution development, capable of autonomous work when necessary.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on generating new business and maintaining high activity levels.
  • Comfortable and proficient in face-to-face interactions, enjoy engaging with people.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Familiarity with technical and professional principles, laws, and applications relevant to the position.
  • Knowledge of current trends in marketing, communications, and public outreach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
  • Positive team member who contributes to a collaborative work environment.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Requires availability for after-hours work.
