Responsibilities:

ROLES / HOURS:

We are currently recruiting the following opportunities:

  • Customer Service Attendant – permanent full-time opportunity where you will be on a linked rotating roster.
  • Customer Service Attendant (Relief) – permanent full-time opportunity which is not on a linked roster where you will find out your roster 1 week in advance. If you are not rostered to work on board the train you will assist with Station Assistant duties (customer service and complete general cleaning duties) at the Townsville station.

In both opportunities, you will typically work between the hours of 0700 to 1630 however flexibility is required as the hours are dependent on business needs. You can also expect to work weekends and public holidays when required.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Create a memorable onboard customer experience
  • Food and beverage service including in the galley and trolley service – this includes ensuring that food hygiene practices are met and taking payments
  • Manage the storage and preparation of food and beverage items
  • Assist with general cleaning duties and handling of customer luggage
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our passengers by reporting any operational issues
  • Assist the Passenger Services Supervisor or Passenger Services Coordinator with any assistance required
