Description:

People Architects is excited to partner with a corrugated packaging manufacturer in Carlisle, PA, to recruit a Customer Service Representative. This is a tremendous growth opportunity for the right candidate.

SUMMARY:

Our client is a custom corrugated packaging manufacturer located in Carlisle, PA. Their products are renewable, environmentally responsible, recyclable, and compostable. The company has been in business since 1965 and is woman-owned.
The Customer Service Representative answers phone calls, enters orders, answers customer emails, and solves customer issues. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager and works closely with the Outside Sales Representatives. It is an onsite position, Monday through Friday, First Shift.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED AND PREFERRED):

  • A bachelor’s or equivalent degree in business or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience at a corrugated packaging company is a plus.
  • Proven experience in customer service, specifically in manufacturing, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Proactive in suggesting process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology.
  • Experience with manufacturing order management.
  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues thoughtfully and effectively.
  • Strong math skills, with a thorough understanding of measurements.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer inquiries and issues primarily through email correspondence.
  • Provide accurate information regarding products, orders, and services.
  • Process orders and follow through to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics departments to resolve any order-related issues.
  • Address customer complaints and issues effectively, providing solutions and follow-ups.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Prepare regular reports on customer service activities and outcomes.
