Description:

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the Manufacturing industry. The role is based in Little Ferry, New Jersey, 07643, United States. The successful candidate will be tasked with handling customer inquiries, maintaining accurate customer records, and processing customer credit applications.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently handle incoming phone calls from customers
  • Provide a friendly and professional atmosphere for customers to conduct business
  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries, ensuring requests are forwarded to appropriate personnel when necessary
  • Coordinate interdepartmental correspondence related to the timely delivery of products
  • Record customer requests for quotes and convert to sales orders when required
  • Follow up with customers on shipping information and keep them updated
  • Manage client base with customer relationship management software, updating customer transactions/issues
  • Assist in processing reports as required
  • Assist customers in obtaining information on services from other departments
  • Perform administrative work as assigned by the management team
  • Utilize skills in SAP, Order Entry, Sales Quotes, and Customer Service in day-to-day operations.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in using SAP software for various business operations
  • Demonstrated ability to handle order entry tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Familiarity with preparing and providing sales quotes to customers
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on resolving customer issues promptly and professionally
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing data and records
  • Good problem-solving abilities to handle customer concerns and queries
  • Solid time-management skills to prioritize and complete tasks within set deadlines.
