II. FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the Manager of Operations with the coordination and execution of administrative, operational and logistical tasks. The position will communicate directly with dedicated customers, depots, vendors and suppliers worldwide, working closely with our marketing, sales and technical teams. Good communication skills and the ability to respond/act promptly to any inquiries regarding operational matters, availability, repairs and trucking are a must.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in shipping or logistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required; strong Excel and Outlook skills preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue/manage bookings and redeliveries to customers.
  • Provide internal support to other departments on operations and depot related issues.
  • Manage inbound calls and emails in high volumes.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Identify and assess customer needs in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the depots to ensure smooth release of containers.
  • Coordinate with freight vendors/shipping lines on empty reposition.
  • Liaise with vendors on survey appointments and container transportation arrangements in order to meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Follow procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Check payments and coordinate with AR on cash application.
  • Process vendor invoices and pass on to AP for payment.
  • Other responsibilities and projects that may arise.
