Group/Division
SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.
Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Installation and start-up of new equipment or upgrades based at customer sites
• Servicing of existing equipment and trouble shooting.
• Follow and work according to documented ‘Best Known’ methods.
• Collaborating closely with the technical support team at SPTS head quarter to resolve issues.
• Documentation of the work performed.
• Taking ownership of and leading projects at the customer sites.
• Loyal appearance of the company towards the customer.
• The Position is based primarily at Dresden/ Germany area with occasional travel within Germany and minor travel across Europe.

Qualifications:

• Certified engineer or degree from advanced technical school or equivalent.
• Preferably a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Vacuum technology, Process measuring/ control technology, Robotics or plasma technology.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
• Hold a full driver’s license for Germany.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Level Degree with work experience of 2 years or Bachelor’s Level Degree with work experience of 3 years in electrical engineering, mechatronics or in a similar field or holder of a “Techniker” or a “Meister” certificate.
