Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Due to the high international growth that Castore has experienced and has planned for the future we are looking for the next person in our customs and tax team.
Reporting to the Head of Tax with the support of a experienced customs lead this role will allow an aspiring customs expert to work in a highly international environment and build the experience and knowledge to implement processes and compliance on a global scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting Audits on customs declarations for all countries where Castore UK imports goods.
- Applies for refunds or arranges supplementary payment of import duties.
- Liaise with customs brokers/customs officials to ensure efficient clearance of goods.
- Assist the Shipping Clerk to provide clearance instructions for all courier shipments.
- Receive monthly MSS Data report from HMRC and reconcile results ensuring correct amount of import duties has been paid.
- Develop working knowledge of import/export laws and regulations.
- Develop working knowledge of customs topics such as Incoterms, Commodity Codes and Preferential Origin.
