Description:
We are currently looking for Customs & Trade Specialist.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- You possess substantial work experience in Customs & Trade.
- Fluent proficiency in English (TME business language) is required.
- A degree in economics, accounting/finance, logistics, or law, with a focus on international trade/customs/tax law is highly preferred.
- You demonstrate a keen interest in acquiring knowledge about customs procedures, trade compliance, and system automation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential.
- You showcase proven strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the maintenance of Customs compliance processes that include:
- ensuring the correct application of import and export declaration procedures at various locations in the EU within the required deadlines
- customs and trade compliance tasks, starting from the customs declarations, the duty payment and reporting, based on standard procedures and controls to ensure compliance
- support in the maintenance of the customs duty optimisation procedure and documentation, such as Outward Processing Relief and filing of duty reclaim procedures
- support in identifying and implementing improvements in the process while ensuring the required compliance; assist in preparation of new procedures and processes.
- support in customs audit preparation and management reporting
Contribute to the maintenance of Origin and Trade compliance processes that include:
- ensuring correct application of the country of origin (required for any cross-border movement) and preferential origin data (necessary for the application of the free trade agreements)
- ensuring timely collection of the underlying documentation from the suppliers, compliance with the rules of origin set up in the free trade agreements, issuance of the origin documentation
- compliance towards the authorities, adherence to legal requirements
