SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong technical proficiency in Unix system administration, cybersecurity principles, and analysis techniques including the ability to create, add, modify and manage Unix packages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for this position you must:
- Be an Australian citizen and hold an active Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) security clearance or higher (or be willing and able to obtain).
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Have demonstrated experience in System Administration, Cyber Security or a related field and knowledge of industry-standard security frameworks and regulations.
Responsibilities:
As a Cyber Analyst you will spearhead the design, development and maintenance of Splunk security dashboards to enable rapid incident response and proactive identification of security issues, aid in systems integration for client projects and maintain designated Unix client systems. You will uphold system security and integrity and meet the operational needs of our clients through system administration and cyber analysis. Additionally, as a Systems Administrator you will ensure the proper configuration and maintenance of client systems for optimal functionality and security. Specifically, this role will:
- Provide support for the maintenance of client systems including software updates, patches and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the integration of systems for client projects, ensuring seamless interoperability and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and address security vulnerabilities and implement best practices for system security.
- Document system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis to identify the root cause and prevent further occurrences.
