We are currently hiring a Cyber Security Engineer. In this position you will be responsible for the protection of MidwayUSA data and information.
Skills we are looking for in a* Cyber Security Engineer:*
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems related field or equivalent experience.
- Prefer 3-5 years experience, but will consider someone with less if they meet other requirements as listed.
- Understanding of information security practices for the network, servers, databases, applications, and advanced use of information security assessment and risk management techniques.
- Understanding of web application security and common attack vectors. (e.g. SQL injection, XSS, CSRF), required.
- Experience in vulnerability management and monitoring data loss and prevention solutions.
- Demonstrate experience with the design and configuration of network DMZ’s and computer systems security risk analysis.
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, common protocols and standards
- Demonstrated experience with security scanning tools
- Experience with OWASP, SAST, DAST, SCA, RASP and common security tools, required.
- Familiar with application security, security engineering, software development and experience in scripting.
- Experience with WAF, or similar application security infrastructure a plus, preferred.
- Qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, etc. are a bonus.
- Background in a programming language to ensure an understand of data and object flow is a plus.
What* our Cyber Security Engineer does:*
- Manages implementation and development of the information security infrastructure.
- Ensures security policies, standards and procedures are established and enforced.
- Coordinates information security audits, tests and reviews.
- Provides guidance to analyzing and evaluating networks and security vulnerabilities. Assist with security systems such as anti-virus, firewalls, patch management, intrusion detection and encryption on a daily basis.
- Recommends security solutions to the VP of information Systems.
- Assists with vendor management effort and coordinates with business partners during vendor selection.
- Develops and manages professional relations with business partners in respect to information security and compliance.
- Ensures key information security risk matters are conveyed to and reviewed by the VP of Information Systems.
- Assists with management activities relating to corporate incidents, contingency planning, business continuity management and IT disaster recovery in conjunction with relevant functions and third parties.
- Assists with business planning, strategic planning and budgeting process.
- Ensure compliance with goals and action plans within the area to include conducting meetings and training.
- Evaluate, placement, career paths, mentoring and succession planning for the responsible area of IS staff.
- Set meetings and agendas to foster two way communications and learning opportunities within the area, department, and organization.
- Lead management, review, training, and evaluation of all area procedures, processes, work instructions, and improvement efforts.
- Ensure customer support to Midway is ongoing and of outstanding quality.
- Lead assigning and tracking progress and completion of tasks to direct report personnel.
- Demonstrate to area personnel, the support for the departmental and company, mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of IS department or Senior Leadership Team.
