EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field plus 15 years of experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- IA certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 8570.01M required.
- Capable of designing, developing, and implementing solutions that meet network and system security requirements and performing vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems, networks, and applications.
- Able to lead and manage the implementation of required network security to properly safeguard all computer systems, network, and data in accordance with current policies and regulations.
- Experience assessing the security risks of IT systems, network, and software applications and documenting them in formal security and risk assessments and supporting artifacts associated with customer processes.
- Capable of driving cyber strategy and providing insight into all policy and technical decisions.
- Experience in providing Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodial Experience in testing to validate established security requirements, recommending additional security requirements, recommending additional security requirements and safeguards, supporting the formal testing required by government accrediting authorities, and preparing System Security Plans.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency mission
- An understanding of the Agile Software Development Processes
- Experience supporting complex technical operations
- Experience initiating assessments and determining and pursuing courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
- Experience developing advanced technical ideas and guiding their development into final product.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed.
- Ability to interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers and serve as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies.
SUMMARY PAY RANGE:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
