CYBER TECHNICAL ANALYST
- Initial Contract Duration: 12 Months

- Working Arrangements: Canberra-based, with flexibility for remote work 1 to 2 days a week.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
In response to the increasing workload in our Cyber Engagement section, we are actively seeking a motivated Cyber Technical Analyst to join our high-performing ICT cyber security team. This role is integral to the development and implementation of security measures, providing technical guidance, and raising awareness of security issues within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Write and present comprehensive security documentation.
- Provide both technical and non-technical advice to departmental programs regarding security architecture best practices.
- Review and guide application and system integration designs in alignment with PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight standards.
- Raise awareness of security issues among technical and non-technical departmental staff.
- Implement Essential Eight in other Government agencies, involving technical uplift and guidance to various stakeholders.
- Demonstrate expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Work under pressure with limited supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Anticipate and communicate the impacts of security risks effectively.
- Develop strong, productive relationships, utilising excellent communication skills and issue resolution techniques.
- Articulate and document technical security artifacts.
