CYBER TECHNICAL ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In response to the increasing workload in our Cyber Engagement section, we are actively seeking a motivated Cyber Technical Analyst to join our high-performing ICT cyber security team. This role is integral to the development and implementation of security measures, providing technical guidance, and raising awareness of security issues within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and present comprehensive security documentation.
  • Provide both technical and non-technical advice to departmental programs regarding security architecture best practices.
  • Review and guide application and system integration designs in alignment with PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight standards.
  • Raise awareness of security issues among technical and non-technical departmental staff.
  • Implement Essential Eight in other Government agencies, involving technical uplift and guidance to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Work under pressure with limited supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Anticipate and communicate the impacts of security risks effectively.
  • Develop strong, productive relationships, utilising excellent communication skills and issue resolution techniques.
  • Articulate and document technical security artifacts.
