POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Cybersecurity Architect, Cloud role is focused on defining and documenting the cybersecurity enterprise and solution architecture for the St. Lawrence College IT Cloud and linking it to the St. Lawrence College cloud cybersecurity framework, cloud cybersecurity risks, threats, vulnerabilities, events, incidents and controls. An expert level knowledge and depth of experience in the field of cybersecurity for cloud is required.
Expert level knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and leading cloud cybersecurity practices is essential. Strong understanding of project management methodology is required to manage cloud cybersecurity projects and to develop the cloud cybersecurity project plans. This position is responsible for verifying that St. Lawrence College IT Cloud Services and IT Cloud Services operations are in compliance with the St. Lawrence College cloud cybersecurity architecture, framework, policies, standards, procedures, and controls. As a subject matter expert for cloud cybersecurity, the position is responsible for continuous learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration within the St. Lawrence College community and the broader public sector cybersecurity community.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of a 3-year diploma/degree in a relevant field of study.
A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in cloud cybersecurity architecture, providing leadership in managing projects, gathering requirements, developing, and analyzing solutions.
