JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level four Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Engineer position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a vital assistant to the program manager in our classified operations, supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). As a key contributor, you will provide essential day-to-day support to classified networks, ensuring their confidentiality, availability, and integrity. The candidate must possess a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance System Architecture and Engineering (IASAE) Level III certification, although a combination of Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III and relevant experience will also be considered.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our capabilities to support the priorities of the United States Space Force (USSF). Your expertise will be pivotal in offering subject matter expertise (SME) cyber support, crafting and implementing robust security features to fortify against unauthorized access and evolving threats within classified network environments. Moreover, you will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, providing recommendations and innovative solutions to fortify our cybersecurity programs and projects, all while strictly adhering to DAF, DoD, and IC standards.
The top candidate will be able to work on location and travel up to 15% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of contract requirements.
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 15 years of pertinent Department of Defense (DoD) experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of the intricacies and demands of the field
  • Offer strategic insights cultivated through aerospace and industry exposure, enriching decision-making processes with nuanced perspectives and forward-thinking strategies
  • Demonstrate adeptness with Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles and a comprehensive grasp of NIST standards, guiding the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures
  • Exhibit mastery across a diverse spectrum of cybersecurity and information management policies, programs, processes, and methodologies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective risk mitigation
  • Display exemplary project management prowess, adeptly steering initiatives from inception to completion while efficiently coordinating tasks, resources, and timelines to achieve defined objectives
  • Acknowledged as an industry luminary, possessing formidable analytical capabilities and a proven track record of leadership in complex environments
  • Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards for program, project, or task deliverables, aligning outcomes with established metrics and overarching objectives
  • Orchestrate meticulous research, design development, and execution efforts, meticulously adhering to specifications and requirements to achieve optimal results
  • Assume a pivotal role in major initiatives, overseeing technical and engineering facets to drive successful execution and attainment of objectives
  • Facilitate seamless coordination among diverse stakeholders and agencies, fostering alignment and synergy towards shared goals and milestones
  • Deliver comprehensive analyses and actionable recommendations to enhance mission-critical endeavors or address client-specific challenges, informed by deep insights and expertise
  • Spearhead rigorous studies and data analyses, informing strategic decision-making and offering pragmatic solutions to complex problems
  • Communicate with utmost clarity, precision, and technical acumen, ensuring seamless comprehension and alignment across all stakeholders through articulate oral presentations and meticulously crafted written documentation

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Masters’ degree: Arts (MA), Science (MS), or Engineering (ME)
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • DoD 8570.01 IASAE Level III. (IAM Level III with relevant experience may be considered as a substitute).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
