We are looking for a talented Machining Associate to join our team for our Seymour Engine Plant in Seymour, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure that cycle counts are done according to site procedures, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Report cycle count accuracy
  • Investigate and analyze results to solve problems with inventory accuracy.
  • Notify GAP Leader and/or Supervisor when problem occurs.
  • Complete all required daily paperwork.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy; including but not limited to sweeping dock area and other areas of the plant as needed.
  • Adhere to all work rules and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintain appearance of lines and area by conducting 5S
  • Implement two (2) improvement ideas per month.
  • Other duties as requested.

  • Drives results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function’s needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.
  • Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have received high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Ability to enter data accurately
  • Able to communicate effectively and accurately with all levels of management and co-workers in spoken and written language.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
