QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • White Card

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
  • Experience in technical aspects of site projects, including machinery and equipment
  • Experience in civil and structural technical engineering
  • Experience in interpreting technical schedules and documentation
  • Experience in Contract comprehension

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The D&B Site Engineer is responsible for inspecting and installing equipment and new technologies, directing crews or workers on site, conducting research and reporting on project status. Site engineers ensure that engineering designs are being followed.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding, manage of safety guidelines, drawings, specifications, methodologies, procedures, risk assessments, inspection and test plan, SWMS, Plans, etc. and coordinate with front line team to make sure implement on site; if there an issue further communication with senior management.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills, flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure
  • Inspecting equipment and technologies (Computerized drilling, Pressure grouting) and communicate with related teams for solution if required
  • Communicate with client and other support teams to determine needs and explain complex issues
  • Diagnose construction or machinery problems; communicate with senior management for further solutions.
  • Coordination with frontline team to ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
  • Monitoring, Coordination and Assist Front line team for onsite work activities, issues
  • Complies with FGJV WHS and quality policy and procedures as amended from time to time
  • Always takes personal accountability for own safety and being aware of the impact of actions on the safety of others
  • Undertakes works in a manner that is consistent with the overall Project goals and meets the timeframes specified in the Project schedule
  • FGJV Personnel must comply with the provisions under the Workplace Relations Management Plan and the National Code and Guidelines to ensure onsite behaviours are consistent with our industrial relations obligations
  • Builds and maintains an appropriate relationship with relevant Client and Subcontractors representatives and stakeholders
  • Prepare Daily progress report shift basis, record all resources, if any delay. Communicate with senior management about issues, delays.
  • Responsible & coordinate with front line team for drilling & blasting works include drilling, charging, blast clearance and re-entry, rock support works. Also support monitoring team for setup monitoring instruments & continue records.
  • Daily monitoring of Dust, Gas, Air readings and record on system
  • Responsible to fill all the documents related with Inspection and test plan, maintain & submit all the records up to date and further coordinate with Quality control to timely submit to client.
  • Understanding & familiar with computerize drilling, capable to prepare & record drilling records.
  • Understand of Temporary work design and make sure front-line team follow up according to that
  • Arrange inspections on site as per ITP and make sure work is conducted on site as per approved specifications, drawings, methodologies, SWMS, etc.
