Description:

Contract Length: 1 year months with the possibility of extending based on performance.
Local candidate only or candidates willing to drive to client site.

The cliient is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in the Data Migration project for the Law Enforcement Administration Management System (LEAMS) with the client. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing complex data systems and programs, supporting ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests related to data migration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or related role.
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).
Proficient in programming languages (Python, R, etc.) is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal teams to understand data needs and objectives.
Extract, clean, and transform data from diverse sources for analysis.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Examine data quality, applications, and functions to ensure accurate migration.
Produce output and sustain operation of data migration processes.
Research new data sources and analytical tools for improved migration strategies.
Contribute to new product development and enhancements in data delivery and presentation.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Generate visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Collaborate with the LEAMS team to perform a proper audit of active files during the migration.
