Job Description
foodpanda’s fintech team’s mission is to unlock value by generating revenue beyond today’s payment foundation. At our core, we are the team executing multi-pronged strategies to optimize the performance of payments acceptance to provide the best end-user payment experience - be it via card or Alternative Payments Methods (APMs). Additionally, we are focused on building an ecosystem with beyond payment services across other Fintech initiatives to drive loyalty, reduce churn and acquire new customers. Our team is responsible for identifying market trends, customer needs, getting in touch with prospective partners, closing commercial deals, and rolling out projects while working closely with cross-functional teams such as Country Teams, Finance, Legal, Customer Care, Engineering & Product, etc.
We are looking for a team player who is passionate about fintech and thrives in an environment where ambiguity is common. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fintech or growth marketing and possess strong analytical skills to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our data-driven strategies and optimizing our fintech products and services, propelling foodpanda’s Fintech team forward in its next phase of value creation across APAC.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideation and Conceptualization: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand key business questions and objectives to translate them into actionable insights from various sources to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights and performance metrics and conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Test and learn: Assist in the design and implementation of experiments to test hypotheses and optimize fintech products and marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with other data stakeholders from local, regional or central teams to develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms to solve business problems such as customer segmentation, churn prediction, and demand forecasting.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply data science solutions to new areas of the business and drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 - 5 years of work experience as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably with exposure to payment and / or growth marketing solutions
  • At least 2 - 5 years of work experience as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably with exposure to payment and / or growth marketing solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets
  • Experience in applying business acumen to analyze data effectively, leading to strategic communication of recommendations that drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment where priorities may shift quickly
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for learning and self-improvement
