Description:
Always dreamt of doing things differently? Join us at Norse Coders, Norse Atlantic Airways’ tech and innovation unit, where we work on Norse’s future competitive advantages to become a challenger airline. We think differently and we act differently, that’s why as an airline we are headquartered in a town with no airport. We are not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom and test new ideas. We are a data-driven product organization powered by a team of developers, product managers, data scientists and a bunch of potatoes (a Norwegian term for people who can do a little bit of everything).
If these prospects inspire you, then we want to talk to you!
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our agile and dynamic product organization, Norse Coders, where you will closely work with a team of talented software engineers, data scientists and product managers. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets related to flights, booking, passenger behavior, and revenue to unlock new testable hypotheses and insights. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the success of the Norse Coders team through data analysis and impactful recommendations, helping us achieve our ambitious vision and mission.
Joining Team Norse is more than getting a job. It is all about belonging.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Certifications in computer science or statistics are desired, but most importantly is that you can demonstrate ability to perform the required tasks and have a natural curiosity to dig deeper and support conclusions using data. You should possess strong analytical skills to understand, interpret, and extract insights from data and have an interest in business. This involves the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets to come up with actionable recommendations on how to improve.
STATISTICAL KNOWLEDGE
A good understanding of statistics, especially hypothesis testing, A/B testing, normality tests, and statistical models for building classification and regression machine learning models such as random forests, nearest network, and clustering.
PROGRAMMING SKILLS
Write efficient code to clean, manipulate, transform, and analyze large datasets in Python.
DATABASE SKILLS
Have experience working with databases and querying languages in SQL.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data analysis roles, preferably in a business or technical environment.
- Show evidence of statistical knowledge (statistical analysis).
- Show evidence of good programming skills (Python and SQL).
- Experience using Azure is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with GIT or a similar tool is essential.
Employees in Norse Coders benefits from the same great Staff Travel possibilities applicable for employees in Norse Atlantic Airways.
