JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Data Analyst 1 at Doodie Calls, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex data sets in the Operations Department and the Finance Department. This position will derive actionable insight into departmental and company efficiencies which will inform key business decisions. The ideal candidate for this position possesses the eagerness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. They will be able to collaborate with team members to create analysis reports in a timely manner.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, information technology, engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Or proven experience in data analysis, with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with data manipulation tools such as SQL and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, through verbal and written communication.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Effectively work across multiple departments, receiving tasks from various team members.
• Needs to be able to work independently and utilize time management skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in various coding languages such as Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Working understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Ability to travel for work during a disaster situation, on average 20% of employment time but subject to emergency activation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.
• Acquire, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to analyze and interpret large datasets, uncovering trends, patterns, and correlations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to communicate findings to company personnel.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and hypothesis testing to address specific business questions or challenges.
• Create efficient workflows with various software to automate data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Work with our Emergency Management team during a disaster situation to provide support with data entry and data reporting.
