ABOUT THE TEAM OR PROJECT:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University’s Estates, Facilities and Capital Development (EFCD) Directorate to support the University’s Road to 2030 Vision and our core goals of delivering an excellent education and experience for students, and to deliver excellent research and knowledge exchange.
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable data analytics professional who is looking for a challenging and varied role that supports high level decision-making and informs progress against a number of performance indicators, particularly in delivering and planning aspects of the University’s Estates Strategy to 2030, Leadership in Sustainability key enabling strategy to 2026, and space optimisation plans.
You will be part of a high performing team, and work collaboratively across a large Directorate to develop and improve data management approaches, practice, and deliver excellent data analysis and interpretation.

Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst role is based in the Sustainability Team in the EFCD Directorate and will primarily support the Sustainability and Space Management teams, but also other EFCD departments as required in developing an approach and streamlining data management processes, analysing, and interpreting complex data, and presenting the findings to a range of audiences.

The responsibilities of the Data Analyst will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical expertise and support to non-experts across the EFCD Directorate
  • Developing reports and presentations with recommendations to a variety of stakeholders
  • Development, analysis, and maintenance of datasets
  • Provide guidance and advice on data quality issues
  • Responsible for visibility, accuracy, and transparency of data sets
