SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for acting as primary internal consultant to management in helping to understand the business impact of decisions. This role will provides analysis and recommendations on performance improvement measures that can allow the business to be run more efficiently and/or effectively.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field required
  • One to three years previous experience required
  • Experience with reporting and systems software (i.e. data warehouses)
  • Experience advanced knowledge in Excel & Access; ACL, Lawson and Crystal Reports preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, employees and upper management to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Meet tight deadlines
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Reporting and systems software (i.e. data warehouses, COGNOS or other relational database applications)

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compile multiple reports into concise and comprehensive Business Reviews
  • Ensures there is back-up skill set, or redundancy for each business critical report to accommodate PTO and open positions without impact on the business
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Leverage system and reporting tools to provide meaningful analyses and automate reports
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Provides training and guidance within team
  • Responsible for oversight of reporting and analyzed data to ensure accuracy of what is provided to management
  • Understands the roles and responsibilities of the Data Analysts within each department
  • Performs other duties as assigned
