Description:

Following internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Head Office Data Team at Pavers, based at Northminster Business Park, York. This role is offered as a full-time permanent opportunity in a growing business where you are encouraged to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
Our data team have a key role to play in the business’s operations, and as a Data Analyst, you will deliver actionable insights from large datasets to drive strategic decision-making and support improvement in operational efficiencies across all departments within Pavers. The business is continually growing and evolving, moving at a fast pace, and good quality insightful data is key to ensuring this continues.
You’ll report into the Data Controller in a wider Data Team of 4 people. Your main responsibility will be to deliver analytics & insights for Snowflake Data Warehouse and Tableau to the business, to agreed timescales, highlighting key metrics and findings.
The role encompasses maintaining and enhancing existing reports and dashboards as well as working on business prioritised projects in line with data strategy. The role will suit an individual who has an analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and is keen to learn & grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert data into insights for key business stakeholders by developing and maintaining reports and dashboards and working on projects prioritised by the business and aligned with the data strategy
  • Build SQL queries, to extract data from the Snowflake data warehouse, and develop Tableau dashboards to communicate key findings and metrics to stakeholders across the organisation
  • Maintain and enhance existing reports and dashboards
  • Ensure company reporting standards are adhered to
  • Ensure team documentation is maintained
  • Support other team members to locate and use relevant sources of reporting data
  • Promote data privacy, security and best practice across all business areas
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities
