The Data Analyst - Resource delivers analytical solutions into the wider business and an analytics service (i.e. data mining, benchmarking, data storytelling) for Colleague Resource Planning. It is expected that the Data Analyst works according to agile principles and keeps focus on business outcomes and benefits.

  • Evaluate rostering efficiencies, enabling continuous improvement through the investigation of future flight schedule changes that shape required changes to roster provision on a seasonal granularity. This insight will become the seasonal lookahead tool for roster reviews that form the baseline of resourcing models and plans – shaping Learning delivery profiles for all rostered colleagues and capturing results.
  • Combine different datasets with qualitative data to derive meaningful new insights into all colleague activity – annual leave, overtime working, attendance trends and analysis e.g. further pandemic outbreaks and impacts – data that can unlock business benefits around capacity, efficiency, and service.
  • Storytelling of the outputs of the reporting and analytics to help the business appreciate the “so what” and turn insights into action.
  • Develop operational approaches, including dynamic models, dashboards, and trends to monitor and manage the operational resource on the day, and make best use of the resources available.
  • Develop a deep analytical understanding of the end-to-end passenger journey, establishing resource correlations and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Highly analytical – A proven track record of delivery using formal analytics tools and techniques with an ability to break down complex issues into a logical and structured approach, with any drawn conclusions being supported by data and facts.
  • Comfortable and assured with data – skilled at using visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI, with experience of importing, cleaning, and manipulating datasets to create meaningful outputs, through data visualisation and storytelling.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fosters relationships – enjoys building relationships with stakeholders to understand and meet their needs, whilst working collaboratively to deliver the best business outcomes.
  • Skilled communicator and storyteller – able to structure and present analysis, reports & dashboards in a clear and concise manner that gain trust and buy in from stakeholders, and clearly conveys the required message.
