Our Data Delivery team within the Risk Management Group works alongside business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and governance team members and play a key role in data analysis, data/business requirements documentation, provide conceptual data solutions and facilitate effective data pipeline delivery leveraging the latest technologies and platforms. What role will you play?
In your role as a Data Analyst, you will be the main point of contact with helping translate business requirements into technical data solutions on strategic programs, ensuring these capabilities are within strategic guardrails and aligned to our Groupwide business and technology objectives. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and solicit data insights utilising our technologies to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from various sources. In addition, define and deliver on data solution designs and create conceptual and logical data models to facilitate technical developments and enhancements to Macquarie’s data ecosystem.

What you offer

  • 5+ years’ of experience working as a business/data/technical analyst ideally within Banking and Financial services or a Consulting firm.
  • Exposure to transformation programs and experience with leading the requirements gathering, data analysis and data design which may include process mapping and adhering to risk management principles
  • Experienced working with data platforms and analytical technologies such as Starbust Presto, Alteryx and Dataiku
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships
  • Strategic mindset and ability to communicate a technical vision driven by business concepts.

About the Risk Management Group
In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
