What to Expect
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Data Analyst to support our Direct Supply Chain components and materials team in delivering process improvements, systems capabilities, and data insights that are critical to support the safe launch of key programs.
This role will be part of the Supply Chain Program Management team and in parallel be an active resource supporting our various Engineering and Purchasing groups within Tesla . You will be a thought leader in developing solutions as well as managing the project execution. This requires you to acquire deep subject matter knowledge about the Parts Supply Chain process, systems, and KPIs. It is essential that you can think strategically, connecting the dots in the bigger picture, as well as being comfortable in the details of the deliverables. The role is expected to simultaneously handle multiple projects of department-level scale and global reach. To be a successful candidate for this role, you have to be a self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the supply chain team in optimizing supply chain operations by performing analysis of Tesla data systems, identifying trends and generating key insights
  • Convey crucial findings with internal stakeholders to encourage data-driven storytelling and decision-making

  • Support the Supply Chain Program Management team on identifying critical metrics and develop intuitive and elegant visualizations to communicate and monitor the advancement of the company’s KPIs and its top objectives

Create new tools to enhance productivity and efficiency using Tableau, SQL, Python, and Tesla’s in-house reporting tools

  • Engage in internal stakeholder meetings and present status updates on a weekly basis on key projects
  • Create reports and keep track of project performance using spreadsheets and data metrics
  • Support the Program Manager to collect data from cross functional teams

What You’ll Bring

Master’s degree in data science, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, related field or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization programs like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills including advanced Excel (ie. macros, VBA), SQL and Python preferred
  • Preferable previous experience in Supply chain processes and procurement
  • Capable of delivering under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in English is a must

    • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
