JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working independently and as part of a team, the Data Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining key accounting, financial, and operational information systems. The Data Analyst will also work to educate and engage relevant management in the usage of these information systems to continuously improve the efficiency and profitability of each of the Thomas Oilfield Companies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or analytical discipline.
• Able to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• 3 Years’ experience providing analytic support using an integrated ERP software system.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with extracting, integrating, and reporting on software databases.
• Ability to utilize Power BI or similar data consolidation and reporting tool.
• English language proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail orientation with equally strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and demonstrated problem-solving
• Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate internally and externally, and in sometimes challenging situations, while maintaining a professional demeanor and customer service orientation
• Able to successfully complete all required pre-hire tests and verifications to include pre-employment drug testing, reference & criminal background checks and MVR review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience using NetSuite ERP in a multi-company, multi-location operation
• Experience with SQL based queries
• Familiarity with the basics of inventory management in an operational setting
• Experience in oil/gas, trucking, manufacturing or other heavy-industrial environment

• Maintains systems to ensure that business activities are properly measured and captured into integrated databases.
• Creates reports and views to provide key operational metrics to management personnel.
• Aligns databases between systems to ensure consistency and accuracy of information.
• Develops and maintains reports to provide analysis of profitability by business segment, customer, and asset classes.
• Provides training to team members to ensure they understand the context and relevance of reported data.
• Assists other team members as requested by management.
